About

Cocklebarrow Races is the only Heythrop Point to Point of the year and attracts people from all over the UK (and world). However, in the main, the majority of our 4,000+ visitors hail from surrounding Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Warwickshire.

The current racecourse was the brainchild of Johnny Wills, John Phillips and Charlie Brooks and is relatively new, having moved from Heythrop to Cocklebarrow back in 2014.  Between them, they built the course from scratch. The fences are inviting and well positioned/sighted and it is now one of the very best tracks in the country, renowned for its fantastic drainage and excellent viewing from the infamous mound stand.

Outside of the superb racing, there are a plethora of other activities to enjoy from family fun and face paiting in the kids zone and heated family picnic tent, shopping amongst the many trade stands, a parade of hounds and the inimitable Tough Farmer Challenge. This year will also see a mechanical rodeo bull, a bungee run and a bouncy castle.
